Each year, the Greater Albuquerque Association of Realtors (GAAR) presents its Good Neighbor Awards, recognizing realtors who dedicate their time, money, and energy to charities and organizations. Realtors are more than just people who help buy and sell homes; they are friends, neighbors, and active participants in the community. That is why the awards recognize the realtors who are making a positive impact.
One of 2023’s Good Neighbor Awards recipients is Morgan Cannaday with Ida Kelly Realtors. Cannaday has been recognized for her volunteer service to the People’s Anti-Cruelty Association – Albuquerque Animal Rescue.
The association rescues, rehabilitates, and rehomes dogs and cats without having to place them in a shelter, thanks to the help and kindness of the association’s volunteers. Cannaday alone has taken in over 100 foster pets during her time with NMPACA and spends much of her time fundraising for the rescue. Cannaday also received a Good Neighbor Award in 2016 for her work in the community.
