ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Police say a security guard was shot at Coronado Mall and a suspect was captured by officers who chased after them.

APD reported the incident on social media Friday at around 1:07 p.m. They say there are no reports of any other victims at this point.

Our crews saw the area around Saggio’s and Fuddruckers taped off. There are no further details.

This is the fourth shooting incident to happen on the Coronado Mall premises over the last year or so:

In late-March, someone allegedly fired a single gunshot as he exited the food court area of the mall. No one was injured. Police arrested the suspect in May, identifying them as a 16-year-old.

On Black Friday, one of the busiest shopping days of the year, a 15-year-old fired a gunshot outside the property and then ran away. APD released a photo that Saturday, identifying the suspect as a 15-year-old and showing him running through the mall with the gun in hand.

Police said the suspect turned himself in the day after they released the photo.

Last July, a woman was arrested after allegedly shooting someone in the mall parking lot. Medics treated the victim at the scene and took them to the hospital.
