ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The City of Albuquerque is holding its annual “Cruzin Into The School Year” to help give students and families the necessary resources to start the school year. They aim to provide every child with school supplies, a backpack, a haircut and so much more.
Prior to the Cruzin Into The School Year event, the city is seeking donations. On July, 20 the city will also be collecting school supplies at the New Mexico United tailgate. People can also drop off donations at community centers.
School Supplies Needed:
- Pencils (#2)
- Bottle white glue
- Rounded scissors
- Colored pencils
- Watercolors
- Pink erasers
- Boxes of tissue
- Folders
- Water-based markers
- Glue sticks
- Rulers
- Notebooks
The Cruzin Into The School Year event takes place on August 3 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Mesa Verde & West Mesa Community Centers. Preregistration is required. The registration link is coming soon, but can be found here.
