ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Wednesday, July 10, Albuquerque Police Department (APD) detectives and agents from the Governor’s Organized Crime Commission raided a business they said is an illegal massage parlor. They arrested 50-year-old Mei Chien Wu on allegations of promoting prostitution.
Special agents began looking into the business located near Lomas Boulevard and 12th Street in June, after finding the business listed on a website promoting illegal sex services, according to APD. The site reportedly showed images of young females, police add.

Law enforcement surveilled the location and saw several males entering and exiting. APD said that the pattern of business suggests prostitution, but law enforcement said they’re still investigating the massage parlor.
On Wednesday, law enforcement seized $5,500 in cash, as well as several cell phones, APD said. Mei Chien Wu is considered innocent until proven guilty but is facing allegations of promoting prostitution. APD also claims Mei Chien Wu has a history of prostitution and other crimes in California.
